As the founder of MindReel Productions, I am deeply passionate about raising awareness and breaking down the stigmas surrounding mental health. With my own personal experiences and a strong commitment to mental health advocacy, I am available to speak at events, conferences, and seminars focused on mental health, wellness, and the power of media in transforming these important conversations.

With long, uninterrupted takes, you capture moments in a single breath. No distracting editing, just pure and direct. One-shots create intensity and intimacy, drawing the viewer into a flow that emphasizes the authenticity of the moment.

Point-of-view shots literally put the viewer in the shoes of the person whose story is being told. This perspective increases empathy and awareness, because the viewer not only watches a story but experiences it as if it were their own reality.

Myrthe created two videos for us for Art United. As agreed, they were a short aftermovie of a dress rehearsal and a longer one of that same day. The videos had a good balance between the featured artists and were well-structured.
We really wanted to show our audience what our young people were working on and inspire them to come to the festival. The short video definitely achieved that. With the longer video, we want to recruit future young people. We're very happy that Myrthe created these two videos for us in one day.

About Mindreel Productions
Mindreel Productions shows that not everything is what it seems. We live on autopilot, so people don't know what's really underneath your smile. I want to change that with my company.
My name is Myrthe van Wijk and I am the founder of Mindreel Productions. In 2019, I struggled with an eating disorder. This sparked a lot of awareness within me. I noticed that knowledge about eating disorders, but also other mental illnesses, as well as physical and social health, was difficult to find.
Besides my struggle with anorexia nervosa, I also struggled with myself, including finding my sexuality. I'm still searching, but I can already say that I'm proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community!
In terms of video, I create immersive, POV-driven campaigns and documentaries that blur the line between the viewer and the protagonist. The stories I tell are experiential, emotion-driven, and rich in detail. I transport the viewer to a moment where silence and movement express more than words ever could.
Our mission is to raise awareness.
We don't create superficial content, but films that people truly see. That open conversations. That break silences. Because in a world overflowing with information and societal pressure, we need more depth and empathy than ever.
That's why we focus on themes like mental health, inclusive care, and invisible stories. And with special attention to LGBTQ+ perspectives, we show what too often remains unseen.

We create space for queer stories within the context of care, well-being, and identity—without clichés, but with authenticity and respect.
